Walter Lee Anderson was owner and operator of Anderson’s TV and Appliance for over twenty years, after moving his business from Prichard Alabama in the late 1950’s. He was involved in community outreach, mainly through the Lion’s Club. Lena Anderson was a housewife until their youngest child, George, was in middle school and then went back to college at the University of South Alabama to complete her degree in education. She then taught school in Saraland for close to twenty years. Both were children of the depression and, having lived in poverty, were dedicated to assuring that their children received an education and better life. All three of their children, Emalee, John and George graduated from Satsuma High School. Lena spent countless hours in and outside the classroom helping kids achieve a better education.
