I’m a Scholarship Winner. How do I get my check each year?
How to get annual scholarship check in the amount of $625.00.
TOTAL VALUE OF THE SCHOLARSHIP IS $2500/$625 per year payable to recipient at the END of each
college year.
1.
Proof of grades (minimum 2.5 GPA) must be presented to Barbara Scarbrough, Treasurer,for collection of
Funds.
2.
Proof of full time student (minimum of 12 credit hours).
DISQUALIFICATION: If scholarship recipient does not contact Barbara Scarbrough for two consecutive years
then you will be disqualified for any additional scholarship money.

How does it work?
Saraland-Satsuma Community Education Advisory Committee, Inc. awards scholarships to needy students with
good grades and community service. Our source of income is donations of corporations and individuals.

Is there a minimum donation?
You can give as little as $1.

What kind of schools do you serve?
Public and private schools in Mobile County, Alabama. We currently serve students in Saraland High School,
Satsuma High School and Chickasaw High School.

Are donations tax-deductible?
As a 501 (c)3 charity, donations are tax deductible to the full extent of US law. Our federal tax # is 63-1189134.

What’s your mission?
Saraland-Satsuma Community Education Advisory Committee, Inc. engages the public by giving people and
corporations a personal way to help needy students pay for college. We envision a community where all
students have a college education option.
